歌羅西書 3:3-4 永恆的生命 「因為你們已經死了，你們的生命與基督一同藏在上帝裏面。 基督是我們的生命，他顯現的時候，你們也要與他一同顯現在榮耀裏。」 保羅提醒歌羅西的信徒，雖然活在這個世界上，也不要隨從傳統和肉身而活，乃要過聖潔的生活，因為在耶穌裡，生命已經更新，舊的生命已死了，現在的生命因為有基督，可以與神一起，「你們的生命與基督一同藏在上帝裏面」，生命已經復活了，已經改變了。「藉耶穌基督從死裏復活，重生了我們，叫我們有活潑的盼望。」（彼得前書 1:3b) 並且知道耶穌會再來顯現，信徒也一同顯現在榮耀裏。 我們活在今生的世界，是充滿人間傳統和敗壞，增加了信徒在作決定和取捨時的挑戰。我們要明確知到我們是已經與基督同死和同復活，有基督在我們的生命裡，可以過得勝和聖潔的生活，並且知道現在的生活是短暫的， 生命是永恆的，將來可以與基督一同享受在榮耀裡。願意主幫助我們忠心於主的使命，努力用心地活好現今在世的日子。

路加福音 24:45-49 悔改、赦罪的道 「於是耶穌開他們的心竅，使他們能明白聖經， 又對他們說：『照經上所寫的，基督必受害，第三日從死裏復活， 並且人要奉他的名傳悔改、赦罪的道，從耶路撒冷起直傳到萬邦。 你們就是這些事的見證。 我要將我父所應許的降在你們身上，你們要在城裏等候，直到你們領受從上頭來的能力。』」 耶穌復活後向門徒顯現，祂站在門徒當中與他們説話，「開他們的心竅，使他們能明白聖經」。並且吩咐「人要奉他的名傳悔改、赦罪的道，從耶路撒冷起直傳到萬邦。 」門徒要繼續使命，傳福音直到萬邦，就是傳要人認罪悔改，藉著耶穌基督罪得赦免的道理。 耶穌在升天之前的吩咐十分明確，給門徒使命，去傳福音。我們是因信耶穌而得蒙赦罪的恩，成為神的兒女，我們要活出有使命感的生命，耶穌也指引我要傳甚麼：就是叫人認罪悔改，接受耶穌為救主，使罪得赦免的道。我們是蒙恩的罪人，可以見證神的能力和作為；求主幫助我們常存感恩，活出罪得赦免，並且願意寬恕人的生命。
