“A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger. The tongue of the wise adorns knowledge, but the mouth of the fool gushes folly. The eyes of the Lord are everywhere, keeping watch on the wicked and the good. The soothing tongue is a tree of life, but a perverse tongue crushes the spirit.”
Proverbs is the book of wisdom. The descriptions and elaborations really helping us to grow and building relationship. In these 4 Bible verses, it tells us that the ways we speak can be constructive or destructive. A gentle answer turns away wrath, it can resolve conflicts. Do not act like a fool who gushes folly. Anger or harsh word will only make things worse. Only gentle words and soothing tongue create harmony and more receptive in relationship.
Conversations in words are great portion of our daily life. We need to be mindful in what we say. Otherwise, the results may be totally different from our expecting. We need to remind and discipline ourselves intentionally: response with kind words, refrain from harsh words and perverse tongue. Wisemen safe guard how they speak and behave that both people and relationship can be built. It enhances people living in peace with harmony.
