Sharing a Devotional with you from Psalm 33:6-9
By the word of the Lord the heavens were made, their starry host by the breath of his mouth. He gathers the waters of the sea into jars; he puts the deep into storehouses. Let all the earth fear the Lord; let all the people of the world revere him. For he spoke, and it came to be; he commanded, and it stood firm.
God created the world with His breath and everything in it. He puts the stars in place by his breath, how amazing is that! Have you ever thought about God creating the heavens and the earth by his breath? I have and each time it amazes me. Recently I was on a trip to the mountains and coming up on a ridge showed this amazing valley that was below. It took my breath away as I thought of God making this! or when you are out and about and see northern lights in the sky at night in the winter. We are to fear the Lord, in a way that worships him and stands in awe of his power. out of nothing he created the heavens and the earth. He is the one we should stand in awe of and be wowed because he is powerful, creative, and sustains all of creation. When was the last time you were in awe of God? May we find awe in the little things as well as in moments you least expect.
