Hi Everyone,

Sharing a devotional with you today from Psalm 145:3-7

Great is the Lord and most worthy of praise; his greatness no one can fathom. One generation commends your works to another; they tell of your mighty acts. They speak of the glorious splendor of your majesty— and I will meditate on your wonderful works. They tell of the power of your awesome works— and I will proclaim your great deeds. They celebrate your abundant goodness and joyfully sing of your righteousness.

Have you ever stopped to think about the greatness of our God? Over the past weekend I had the opportunity to go on a snowshoe and stargazing hike. It was amazing! The weather was warm and the clouds started to part and the stars came out and shone in the night sky. As my friend and I were on our hike we looked up in awe of God and his marvelous creation. We learned about how many light years away some of the stars were. I was in awe of God’s greatness. Have you had that experience of being in awe of God’s greatness?

David writes this Psalm with such certainty and praise for the truths of who God is. In this Psalm we can see that God’s greatness is to great to fathom. The generations will continue to talk about the wonderful and marvelous things God has done. isn’t this such a great reminder for us that even in times where things are not going the way we want God is still great. God’s greatness is beyond our imagination and it is beyond our understanding. With that knowledge friends when times get out of control, God is great as he put the stars in the sky and He is still sovereign over everything today! Friends lets look to the greatness of God and to know that he is in control so we don’t need to be. God is sovereign. That is why we can tell of what he has done, sing because we have experienced God’s greatness.

Blessings,

Esther
