Hi everyone,
Wanted to share a devotional with you from Hebrews 10:24-25 – Let’s Meet!
As I was reading verses 24 and 25, I was just thinking about the Covid situation where many were forced into isolation from the community. This has become a norm in many people’s lives. Reverting back to how life used to be before Covid is going to be difficult and challenging. Due to this unfortunate circumstance, many have gotten accustomed to this new way of life and have began to gradually separate themselves from the faith community. As we separate ourselves from the faith community, have our faith gotten stronger or weaker?
Scripture warns us not to live in isolation with one another. It is always dangerous to walk alone because we lose accountability and encouragement. When I lose sight, hope and purpose, that’s the time I need to be reminded of God’s word the most. However, when we’re in that state, it’s extremely difficult to feed yourself and that’s when the faith community needs to really step in and give us a helping hand. We need one another and we are stronger together. We need one another’s encouragement. The Body of Christ is stronger when we are together and unified. May we be reminded of that, that we must continue to spur one another forward as we transition into physical meetings again. Let us do our diligence and make an effort to stay connected with one another. What is one change that we need to apply today in order to stay connected with our community? May God lead us and give us His wisdom!
Blessings,
Kelsey
