James 1:2-8 NIV  Good Experience

“Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. That person should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. Such a person is double-minded and unstable in all they do.”

James wrote to the twelve tribes who had been scattered and lived in different places. The writing included practical advices and ample wisdom. Lives were full of challenges and trials. People had to face these facts positively, not to complain, not to give up, not to run away, but to face them with thankful heart. People could see them as training process. Their faith could be strengthened. Although people have limitations, God almighty is the greatest. God Cares and his grace is abundant. “If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.” The requirements are fully trust and total surrender to God.

When we are facing difficulties and adversity, what are our reactions? Miserable and complaint? Or take these as learning and maturity process. More importantly, the God we believe is God of all knowing and He provides all we need. God always helps us.  Everything is possible for one who believes. When we are in difficulties, we should get close to God and to trust Him. We will find peace and joy through Him.
