Titus 3:13-14 NIV Devote to Doing Good
“Do everything you can to help Zenas the lawyer and Apollos on their way and see that they have everything they need. Our people must learn to devote themselves to doing what is good, in order to provide for urgent needs and not live unproductive lives.”
The last section in the Book of Titus, Paul said that he would send Artemas or Tychius to release Titus that Titus could go to see Paul. Also, Paul asked Titus to take care of the two lawyers, Zenas and Apollos. Titus was to supply everything they needed when traveling. The brothers and sisters had to learn the caring in action. “Devote to doing what is good” means the actions for doing good things willingly and for the benefits of others. This is a posture which Christians should learn and should have. Otherwise Christian could not live out the Christ-centered life,
Doing good and being considerate are to offer assistance to people what are in need. We can help to provide for their needs. This is an expression of loving care. People who love God are people who love others as well. They are loving and forgiving. Caring with love is a powerful demonstration of Christ-centered life. May Gods help us to “devote themselves (ourselves) to doing what is good, in order to provide for urgent needs.”
