Titus 1:1-3 NIV Be Missional
“Paul, a servant of God and an apostle of Jesus Christ to further the faith of God’s elect and their knowledge of the truth that leads to godliness— in the hope of eternal life, which God, who does not lie, promised before the beginning of time, and which now at his appointed season he has brought to light through the preaching entrusted to me by the command of God our Savior,”
Paul was confident that he was chosen by God. With truth and faith in God, he had grow to spiritual maturity. The local people there told lies. “One of Crete’s own prophets has said it: “Cretans are always liars, evil brutes, lazy gluttons.”” (Titus 1:12 NIV) God does not lie. God fulfills His promise. Paul knew that he had eternal hope, and the duty to preach the gospel had been entrusted to Him.
Likewise, as Paul, we believe in Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. We are chosen people. God has shaped and mould us to spiritual maturity. We also have the duty to preach the gospel. We all know that, we read the Bible, we understand the truth. Do we intentionally share the gospel to others? Sharing the gospel can be done verbally. We can tell our life changing stories, to encourage people to grow in their faith in God. Also, we can use our lifestyle or our behavior to witness for Christ, to show God’s love and care, the joy we have. There are ways we can can let people know the blessings of eternal hope. May God help us that we can bring the peace of God to our communities.
