HI Everyone,

Today’s devotional comes from Philippians 1:20-24

Paul is writing about his ministry for Christ and speaks about doing God’s work to his death. I wonder how many of us would say that we want to do the God’s work to our death. Paul asks which is better to live and be able to continue the work that God has put in front of him or to die as he would be in the presence of the Father forever. He says for the sake of the followers it is better to be here and to continue the work that the Father has for him, but his desire is to be with the Father.

Over this past week I had someone close to me who passed suddenly in the night. She lived for Christ each day and in every encounter with her, she showed how to live for Christ. She has led many different people to Christ and showed such compassion to others. Her life spoke volumes and in the same way she lived her life as a service to God. As friends and family are grieving her death, we also know that she is with the Father and in that we have great peace.

What do we want our legacy to be? Do we want to be known for how we live for Christ? Brothers and Sisters may this be an encouragement to you as we continue to do the work God has put before us to make His name famous all over the world!

Blessings,

Esther
