Luke 1:26-38 NIV We are so Blessed
“But the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary; you have found favor with God. You will conceive and give birth to a son, and you are to call him Jesus. He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne of his father David, and he will reign over Jacob’s descendants forever; his kingdom will never end.””
Luke 1:30-33 NIV
“The angel answered, “The Holy Spirit will come on you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the holy one to be born will be called the Son of God. For no word from God will ever fail.” “I am the Lord’s servant,” Mary answered. “May your word to me be fulfilled.” Then the angel left her.”
Luke 1:35, 37-38 NIV
The prophecy in the Book of Isaiah 9:6 has been fulfilled, “For to us a child is born”. In Luke 1:26-38 told us that God sent angel Gabriel to tell Mary, “You will conceive and give birth to a son, and you are to call him Jesus.” Certainly, to human’s mind, it was unthinkable and impossible thing to happen. Because people all have sinned, God has prepared a solution to reconcile it. The Salvation comes through Jesus, it is such a tremendous grace from God. Christmas is really a time of joy to the world.
Even though Mary did not understand God’s chosen and the plan, she believed that “For no word from God will ever fail.” And she obeyed, “May your word to me be fulfilled.” Whenever God chooses us and calls us to do certain thing(s), we can also take it with grateful heart and be blessed.
