Isaiah 29:11-13 NIV
“For you this whole vision is nothing but words sealed in a scroll. And if you give the scroll to someone who can read, and say, “Read this, please,” they will answer, “I can’t; it is sealed.” Or if you give the scroll to someone who cannot read, and say, “Read this, please,” they will answer, “I don’t know how to read.” The Lord says: “These people come near to me with their mouth and honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. Their worship of me is based on merely human rules they have been taught.”
Christians believe the Trinity God. The Almighty God is all powerful and gracious. These are all easy to understand. The question is that do we really understand and tie in with our lives to develop the intimate relationship with God? Do we really live out our lives through the transformation by God?
The Lord says: “These people come near to me with their mouth and honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me.“ Nowadays, all the information are readily available, we can read, listen to sermons or workshops so easy. These are all good, they help us to enrich our thinkings and broaden our visions. We praise God, He treats everyone of us so precious. God knows everyone of us individually. We all have an individual relationship with God. Everyone of us should remember that during our baptism. We promised that we accepted Jesus Christ as our Savior and Lord. I invite you to think and evaluate yourself. Do I come near to God with my mouth and honor God with my lips, but my heart is far from God? That is, We have the knowledge of knowing God, but our life has not been transformed by God.
May God give us the courage and strength to face our life right now, to trust and obey God with our heart to follow the guidance and requirements of God. Do not be Christians with lip service, but with life testimonies that our lives have been transformed through Jesus Christ.
