Matthew 2:9-11 NIV,
“After they had heard the king, they went on their way, and the star they had seen when it rose went ahead of them until it stopped over the place where the child was. When they saw the star, they were overjoyed. On coming to the house, they saw the child with his mother Mary, and they bowed down and worshiped him. Then they opened their treasures and presented him with gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh.”

Christmas is very special. Although it is an important date for Christianity, it is also a joyous day for both Christian and non-Christian all over the world. The birth of Jesus Christ on earth brings hope and peace to everyone on earth. This is the love of God and the blessings to us.

Jesus was born in the time of suppression. Nonetheless, the birth of Jesus Christ in Bethlehem was a good news with great joy. More detail description can be read in Chapter 2 in the Book of Luke.

“The star they had seen when it rose went ahead of them until it stopped over the place where the child was.” The wisemen came to look for Jesus Christ, the bright star lead them to the manger. “When they saw the star, they were overjoyed. On coming to the house, they saw the child with his mother Mary, and they bowed down and worshiped him.” They open their treasures and presented the gifts which they had prepared to Jesus. Jesus Christ is the prince of peace. He gives people new life, the life with hope. No matter how this world is today, it is with fear, anxiety or hopelessness. Jesus is the only way out. God is love, He gives peace. This is the joy of the world because the Savior Jesus Christ was born.

“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” (Romans 15:13 NIV)
