Ephesians 2:8-9 NIV
“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast.”

This is the first time for our church to be one of the correction centers for the Christmas Shoeboxes. Many Christins, non-Christians, Christian churches or non-Christians organizations came to our church to drop off shoeboxes with gifts in them. These shoeboxes are being sent to countries for those underprivileged children. It is a very meaningful campaign. Lots of people are willing to participate. How wonderful if all the people can experience the love of God and receive the great gift of salvation. “But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved.” (Ephesians 2:4-5 NIV)

There are good people and philanthropists in this world, they are willing to help and care for people. We hope that these good people will accept Jesus Christ and enjoy the blessing of everlasting life as well. These blessings are only through Jesus Christ. “Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life.” (1 John 5:12 NIV). Salvation is the grace of God, only to those who believe in Jesus. It cannot be done through good behavior, nor by charitable acts, it is only by God’s grace.

We, as Christians, have the gifts of salvation, we have eternal life. Our life has been changed. We have good conduct, with love and care for others. May God help us to care with love, to extend and show God’s love in our community.
