Sharing a devotional with you from Mark 9:33-37 – A Servant of Christ
It’s great to do a devotional on a passage I just preached on!
As I reflect on the greatness in God’s Kingdom is to be a servant of all, it reminds me how I need to live. Humility and love is indispensable in order for us to truly live out a life of a faithful servant. The disciples were fighting for powers of prestige and authority, but Jesus reminded them true greatness in God’s Kingdom is to be a servant of all. Jesus became our role model for that. He lived a servant to serve humanity even though He’s God. So how much more ought we to live as a faithful servant because that’s who we have been called to be? May we be reminded of that today. We have been called to serve God and to serve one another. We need to remember our Master’s command and who we are in Him. We are servants of Christ, so let us begin exhibiting our true calling in every aspect of our lives as a worship to our Lord and King. May Jesus refine us and shape us to be faithful servants of Jesus because we only want to go about the Lord’s business. May the Lord fill us with joy as we serve Him.
