Hi everyone,
Wanted to share a devotional with you from Mark 11:1-7 – Following Instructions
What stood out to me in this passage was the obedience of the disciples when Jesus asked them to take a colt from a complete stranger. They just walked in, started to untie the colt even before asking the owner. How courageous of them to follow Jesus’ instructions even to the extent of taking something that doesn’t belong to them! They followed Jesus’ instructions to the dot. If Jesus commanded me to do something like that today, I wouldn’t be so sure if I’ll be able to pull through. This reminds us today, when Jesus asks us to do something difficult, will we trust in His commands? Will we be able to pull through even though we may experience some natural consequences by following what Jesus has asked of us? We will be obedient to Jesus? We all know the ideal answer is a strong yes. However, when placed in a difficult situation, it may not always be as easy as it seems. May the Spirit give us courage to live for our Master. May we respond like the disciples, living out the very commands of Jesus in every aspect of our lives. God always has a plan and He is good. We can trust in His good will for all of us.
Blessings,
Kelsey
