Sharing a devotional with you from Luke 5:-17-26 – Bringing the Needy Before Jesus
The story of the 4 friends and the paralytic man is a well known story. We all remember the time when the four friends lowered their paralytic friend from the roof and set him before Jesus. The paralytic man couldn’t go to Jesus on his own and needed good and faithful friends to bring him before Jesus. This reminds me that there are times when people are unable to go to Jesus on their own. Whether it’s physical, emotional or spiritual limitations, at times, our family and friends may need our help. May we become discerning when people need to go to Jesus and that we will be willing and available to do just that. Even if there are obstacles, this story teaches us to persevere just like the four friends. Through all the challenges, the four friends persevered and didn’t give up until they brought their paralytic friend before Jesus. May God give us the discernment to help those in need as we bring them before Jesus because we believe that Jesus can definitely help them in unbelievable ways!
