Sharing a devotional with you from Luke 13:22-30 – Make Every Effort
What stood out to me is how Jesus is urging people to make every effort to enter the narrow door. Jesus has the eternal perspective in mind. Jesus reminds us through the passage that what we do and choose in this lifetime will have eternal effects. We all need to make our own decision to enter through the narrow gate. It’s something we cannot be passive about. I pray that we can be reminded of that today, to make every effort to get through the narrow door before it closes. Nobody knows when this door will close. Nobody knows when we’ll breathe of our last when Jesus returns. Life is unpredictable. Every day is an extra day of grace for those who have not gone through yet. So let us make every effort to remain in the love of Jesus and hold on to Him. I pray that we will not let anything alienate us Jesus. Only then we will be able to enter the Kingdom of God through the one and only narrow door. May the world see that Jesus is the Messiah and may every believer hold on to Jesus no matter what.
