Hi everyone,
Sharing a devotional with you from Jeremiah 46:25-28 – God Disciplines His Beloved
In our passage today, God promises to deliver Israel despite the punishment and judgement He was going to inflict. He is asking them not to lose hope. Although God will be destroying the nations He has scattered them to, God promised He will bring them back and secure them. He reminded Israel that He is indeed disciplining them due to their idolatry, but always with a plan to bring them back. May we also be reminded that ultimately God loves us and wants to redeem us. Our Father in heaven disciplines His children because He loves them. The process may not always be comfortable and smooth sailing, but God will always guard us in all things. God is the potter and we are the clay. Going through different stages of purification and refining is tough. However, we will come out stronger in our relationship with God and our character shaped into His image. Let us have confidence to face each day by remembering God’s good character. May the Lord bless you with His love and discipline in areas that need refining.
Blessings,
Kelsey
