Sharing a devotional with you from Jeremiah 30 – God’s Faithfulness
What stood out to me in this chapter is the LORD’s faithfulness. Although Israel sinned greatly against the LORD, the LORD continues to be faithful as He promises to restore them. Despite what Israel had done, prostituting themselves to idols and have betrayed the LORD, God’s faithfulness is still for them. Even though He will punish them to discipline them, God promises to heal them and to restore them. Even despite what they have done, God continues to love them and is faithful to His promises. Not that Israel had done any good thing to deserve any of it, but simply because our God is faithful. This reminder is so reassuring that our God continues to be faithful. No matter what we do or how badly we screw up, God’s faithfulness continues to be with us. Our limitations in our weakened state will not make our God any less faithful. Isn’t that reassuring? God’s plan and mission will continue will continue to move forward because He is good. May we rest in His peace and comfort knowing that our God is faithful no matter what even despite our short comings. This gives us the reassurance to live each day trusting in the LORD’s faithfulness from now till forever more. Even when we face trials and challenges in life, being reminded that God is faithful is like seeing a bright light at the end of a dark tunnel. May His grace and mercy be with us always!
