Wanted to share a devotional with you from Jeremiah 26 – Obedience and Courage
We can see Jeremiah’s obedience being displayed here. Even though his actions threatened his own life, he continued to do what the Lord has commanded him. Upon hearing what Jeremiah said, the people even threatened to kill him. This reminds me of how servants ought to live for their master. Jeremiah displayed obedience and courage in the LORD even when the LORD has commanded him to do something dangerous and challenging. I pray that my obedience to the Lord will also be unwavering even when He asks me to do something difficult. What Jeremiah did requires a lot of faith and courage. Do we also live out obedience in the LORD in all things? May we live our lives the same way with faith and courage so that we can fulfil God’s great plans us. May we continue to love the LORD through our obedience to Him.
