Hi everyone,

Wanted to share a devotional with you from Jeremiah 12- Bringing our Complaints to God

In Jeremiah 12, we see how Jeremiah was speaking to God. He was laying his complaints before God. Jeremiah saw how the wicked people were flourishing while Israel who had committed idolatry will be judged. That didn’t sit right with him. So he brought his case up before the LORD. When there are things we see and don’t understand, we can like Jeremiah, bring those things to God because God always has an answer to our questions. In this chapter, we see how God answered Jeremiah reminding Him how He will always deal with wickedness. It’s just a matter of time. Seeing how Jeremiah and God spoke to each other, I am reminded that this is something we can do as well. We can bring our complaints, our lack of understanding and our frustration to God. He’s ready to take all of it and give us an answer if we’re willing to listen.

I’m glad we have this kind of relationship with God, that when we speak, He always hears. When we have something that we don’t understand and something that’s bothering us, we can always bring those worries and frustrations to God. We can always approach God and seek His counsel. At the end of the day, we are finite and limited. However, God always has all the answers and He will always exercise His good will. That’s something we can always hold on to and have assurance on especially when there are things we simply don’t understand. We can always go to God and that’s the kind of relationship we have with Him. So don’t be afraid to ask God questions and bring our frustrations to Him and He will give us clarity and understanding, alongside with comfort, peace and hope.

Blessings,

Kelsey
