Hi everyone,

Wanted to share a devotional with you from Jeremiah 10 – Foolishness

What stood out to me was how the people would worship their own idols they created. They would decorate it and adorn it as if it’s worth something when they cannot even do anything for them. They put a lot of care and dedicate their time on a false idol that can do nothing for them. Humanity can be so foolish at times when we really take a step back to look. Do we also do foolish things in life right now that when God looks at it, foolishness is written all over it? Have we like Israel adorned and focused on other things so much that we have forgotten about God? Have we replaced God with something lesser? Why settle for less when we already have the best? Whenever we settle for less and putting God aside, isn’t that foolishness?

May God remind us today of our foolishness and fill us with wisdom so that we can live a wise life that only worships the Lord. May we always remember Him and never replace Him with something else. That is the best and wisest thing we can ever do to hold on to God always. Nothing in this world can come close to knowing Jesus. Nothing in this world is as powerful and as true as our God. Let the world not deceive us and lead us astray and may the Lord help us to always stay grounded on Him and on His love.

Blessings,

Kelsey
