Psalms 20:4-5 NIV
May he give you the desire of your heart and make all your plans succeed. May we shout for joy over your victory and lift up our banners in the name of our God. May the Lord grant all your requests.
In the new year, we send out greetings and blessings. Wishing everyone success in their plans and goals.
Psalms 20 is a psalm of prayer by King David. In time of distress, he called to God. “May the Lord answer you when you are in distress; may the name of the God of Jacob protect you.”
(Psalms 20:1 NIV) Israelites were fighting many battles during that time. The Israelites prayed for their leader, King David, corporately. Before they went for battle, they prayed to God of Jacob, Jehovah, the God they believed all along from their ancestor to protect David and to give him victory. May God give him the desire of his heart and make all his plans succeed. They shout for joy, in the name of God, they lifted up the banners which meant victory.
In year 2021, we can have a fresh start. We can pray for one another , pray for the church leaders, pray for the plans and the desire of their hearts to be successful in God’s sight. Also, pray for the brothers and sisters that they can serve willingly and in unity. Everyone can actively involved in developing our ministry focus: Caring, disciples making and missions. May God grant our wish.
