Psalm 63:7–8 NIV
“Because you are my help, I sing in the shadow of your wings. I cling to you; your right hand upholds me.”

We all know that God is love, God is always in control. When times are good, we give thanks to God. In time of adversity, we can still give thanks to God only if we surrender to God and trust Him for His faithfulness and care.

David was chosen by God and was anointed as King of Israel. He was the King, he was the leader. However, David was chasing after and was persecuted. Psalms 63 was written by David when he was in the Desert of Judah. He was trying to hide away from Absalom, who wanted to seize the king’s power and the throne. Although David was running for his life, he trusted in God, he expressed his hope in God’s protection. “You, God, are my God, earnestly I seek you; I thirst for you, my whole being longs for you, in a dry and parched land where there is no water.” (Psalms 63:1 NIV) David praised God and enjoyed God’s presence. “Because you are my help, I sing in the shadow of your wings. I cling to you; your right hand upholds me.”

We do experience difficult time and adversity, we are exhausted. Do we complain and feeling disappointed? We should react like David did, put our trust in God and cling to the God almighty.
