2 Corinthians 3:17-18 NIV
“Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.”
Christians encourage one another is a powerful way to build the unity. Paul reminded the leaders of the church of Corinth. “Such confidence we have through Christ before God. Not that we are competent in ourselves to claim anything for ourselves, but our competence comes from God.” (2 Corinthians 3:4-5 NIV) With the indwelling of Holy Spirit, Christians do have extraordinary life or life style. “Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom”. It is such a beautiful testimony when people can see the calm, the peace, the joy, the hope in Christian life.
Although the followers of Jesus Christ are living in the same world with other people, we all experience the same things which are confined by this world, the Holy Spirit who lives in us helps us to live our life differently, the changes are obvious, such as we have freedom, we discipline ourselves, we have joy and we have peace, etc. By the Spirit, we have victory over all hardships, with our experience, we can help and comfort others. “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.” (2 Corinthians 1:3-4 NIV)
