Ephesians 1:17-23 NIV
“I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better. I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people, and his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is the same as the mighty strength he exerted when he raised Christ from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms, far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every name that is invoked, not only in the present age but also in the one to come. And God placed all things under his feet and appointed him to be head over everything for the church, which is his body, the fullness of him who fills everything in every way.”
Christians are very familiar with Faith, Hope and Love. People have eternal Hope by accepting Jesus Christ through Faith, people experience the unconditional Love of Christ. Committed Christians extend God’s love to their communities. They have the mission to live out “I do all this for the sake of the gospel, that I may share in its blessings.” (1 Corinthians 9:23 NIV)
Church is the body of Christ, Jesus Christ is the head of the church. Christians is the church, they are body of Christ. In order to grow healthily and function well, Christians must be submissive, humble, no power struggle. The Holy Spirit fills the church. “And God placed all things under his feet and appointed him to be head over everything for the church, which is his body, the fullness of him who fills everything in every way.” Christians should not be self-centered or self-indulgence which leads people to forget the essence of the church, or even forget God’s presence in the church. God is delighted to bring unity and harmony to the church that demonstrate the Faith, Hope and Love. Christ is the head of the church, Christians is the body of Christ. We should “joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work.” (Ephesians 4:16 NIV), We should be a living testimony for Christ in our communities. Let’s live out the life of Christ in us.
