Matthew 5:9 NIV. Matthew 5:9 NIV.
“Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.”

Respect and considerate are two primary essential elements in interpersonal relationship building. When we can discuss everything honestly and openly, we can accept different opinions, personal conflicts can be minimized. It is workable, we can do it with intention to practice.

On the mountain, Jesus taught the people in the topic on beatitudes, the blessings for the people. These are not the requirements for being saved for having eternal life. After we accepted Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, our status have been changed, we are children of God. The transforming life brings changes on our thoughts and value system. The lifestyle expression is different from non-Christians. One of the blessings is being peacemakers. Peace with one another, having good relationship among people; Being peacemakers does not only benefit for oneself, but for the benefit to the others. Peacemakers are also to resolve conflicts, to restore peace and harmony.

Jesus Christ is the prince of peace. Jesus came to earth, fulfilled the Salvation for the world. We are redeemed by Him and we are reconciled with God. Being the followers of Christ, peacemaker is one of our roles. In our work place, in church and our families, do we create any conflict issues? Being strong will, not humble to listen to others, these are tarnishing the relationship. When we are in the middle of conflict parties, do we have the courage to mediate? Do we try our best to resolve the differences?

We are Children of God. Being peacemaker is a sign of our status, a blessed sign.
