1 Peter 5:5-7 NIV
“In the same way, you who are younger, submit yourselves to your elders. All of you, clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, because, “God opposes the proud but shows favor to the humble.” Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.”

As time goes on, we learn and have improvement. With the skills and knowledge increased, we assume that we are better than the other, we may become arrogant. These are wrong, we need to change our attitude.

In 1 Peter 5:5-7, Peter told those who are younger to submit to their elders. In this context, their elders are the elders and leaders of the church. On the other hand, the elders and leaders of the church should humble themselves as well, not become arrogant. People should humble themselves toward one another. God blesses those who are humble. We need to train ourselves to be submissive and humble. There are times when we are humble ourselves, we may feel being neglected or unimportant. “Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time.” God encourages us that when we are willing to humble ourselves, our Almighty God will life us up in due time. Do not think that because of humility, we lost being recognized, feeling uneasy or disturbed. This Bible passage told us to take heart. Don’t worry, because God cares for us.

Regardless of our roles in the church, we are serving together with humility. We are submissive to one another. This is a God pleasing attitude. We will be blessed. Let’s improve on these together.
