John 4:36-38 NIV
“Even now the one who reaps draws a wage and harvests a crop for eternal life, so that the sower and the reaper may be glad together. Thus the saying ‘One sows and another reaps’ is true. I sent you to reap what you have not worked for. Others have done the hard work, and you have reaped the benefits of their labor.”

In the conversation between Jesus Christ and his disciples, we know that Jesus came to bring the salvation to everyone. The mission is to let people know the way to salvation. People may have different response to the good news, some may accept it immediately, some may reject it, some may consider it and make the decision later. Nonetheless, the good news need to be shared. Everyone reacts differently to the gospel. Jesus said, “so that the sower and the reaper may be glad together.“

Of course we would like people accepting Christ after we share the gospel. This is a joyous and exciting moment. Our mission is to share the good news. There are sowers and reapers, both are as important. “Thus the saying ‘One sows and another reaps’ is true. I sent you to reap what you have not worked for. Others have done the hard work, and you have reaped the benefits of their labor.” May God help us, to share the gospel courageously, to witness for Christ. No matter whether you are a sower or reaper, when you do it faithfully, we will be glad together and God will be pleased as well.
