Psalms 1:1-3 NIV
“Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers, but whose delight is in the law of the Lord, and who meditates on his law day and night. That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither— whatever they do prospers.”

People long for prosperity and being blessed. There are instructions we can see from the first three Bible verses in the Book of Psalms. We are blessed if we make the right choice. “Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers, but whose delight is in the law of the Lord, and who meditates on his law day and night.“ (1:1-2) God loves us, He gives everyone of us freedom. Depending on our choices and decisions, the outcome of our lives will be different. To be blessed and prospers, we should not consult or follow the advice from the wicked, we should not follow or involve with the sinners’ lifestyles, we should not learn or imitate the attitude of the mockers. Instead, we should delight in the laws of the Lord, the word of God is our guide. We go deeper in the word of God and make it part of our life, meditate on His law day and night. God’s word is our ever-present help.

If we love God, we should love to get close to God, we should love the word of God. God’s word is all powerful. “For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.” (Hebrews 4:12 NIV) Let us choose from what is right rather than what is acceptable. Wish you all be blessed and prospers.
