Hi Everyone,

I wanted to share a devotional with you from 2 Peter 3:8-9

But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day. The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.

As I was reflecting on these verses I’m reminded of the grace and love that God has for us that He wants everyone to come to repentance before Him. God is not slow in coming again nor is He fast. His timing is perfect and we will not know when the exact time or day that he is coming back. However, we can look forward to the day that we get to meet our Saviour face to face. As we read in verse 8 a day is like a thousand years and a thousand years are like a day. We do not know the exact time and day, we do know though that Jesus will be coming back.

Sometimes we want to hurry God up because we think our timing is best, but God knows the timing and we need to let go of that control. How great is it that He wants Everyone to come to repentance and accept Him as Lord so that no one perishes! Friends, this gives us a task too and that is to bring people back to repentance and to share the love of Jesus with those who do not know Him yet. So that they can be saves, as God does not want anyone to perish. God is so good in being patient with us so that we can bring as many people to Him, how great is that Love the father has for His children. May we continue to bring people to repentance and to share the Love of the Father to those who do not know Him yet as we wait in anticipation for the day we get to meet our Saviour face to face. God Keeps His Promise of Salvation for all and is not too slow His timing!

Blessings,

Esther
