Psalms 1:1-2 NIV
“Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers, but whose delight is in the law of the Lord, and who meditates on his law day and night.”

People has asked me questions about Christian, “Can Christian do this?” “What are the things Christian should not do?” Questioning is a way of learning. If it is only for the sake of asking, it is not beneficial.

Psalms 1:1-2 tells us the dos and don’t. “Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers.” (1:1) It lists out the situations which we have to avoid, both in mind and in behavior. Otherwise, we may get into deep trouble. Contrary, if we delight in the word of God, spend time to meditate to think it through, applying the word of God, we will be blessed.

These two Bible verses tell us what we should not involve in. We know these, we should avoid and not doing these. God is so good, He gives us choices. He tells us the pro and con. God is hoping that we can make the right choice, the wise choice. God does not want us to suffer. The Bible is the word of God, these words are powerful. When we are willing to follow, not only we will not be ashamed, we will be blessed. God’s word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path (Psalms 119:105). What a privilege to have God’s leading and showing the way.

I have chosen to apply the word of God in my life, what a blessing. I hope that you will make the right choice. to apply the word of God.
