Sharing a devotional with you from Proverbs 6: Living with Diligence

What stood out to me here is the section that talked about laziness. The ant was brought up because of how hard it works day and night to gather food. No overseer or commander or ruler ever supervises the ant telling it what to do. The ant is able to work hard on its own. It is always diligent. We can learn so much by just observing a simple ant.

How about us? Do we move forward only when someone tells us to? Are we only doing what we supposed to do when we’re being watched or supervised? How do we live when no one’s watching? There’s a lot of wisdom here because the one who lives a productive life will be the one who will flourish while the lazy will accomplish nothing. All the more, we are God’s children, living our lives for Him. How can we be lazy when we serve the God of the universe? May God strengthen us and move us into action. May we work hard and diligent for Him so that His mission on earth will be accomplished! Let us not grumble or complain in the process about how hard things are and how hard we have to work. Everything we do, we do it for the glory of God simply because we love Him and we are responding to His saving grace for all of us.

Blessings,

Kelsey
