Pay Attention to Wisdom
What stood out to me in this chapter would be wisdom urging us to pay attention to her. Often times to know something doesn’t mean we’ll naturally live it out. Think of times we went against the instructions of our parents, teachers and those who counselled us? Think of times we went against the instructions of the Lord and how it harmed us? I think we can all relate with these experiences. Many times we do foolish things despite knowing it’s foolish.
However in this chapter, it reminds us to pay attention to wisdom, urges us to focus on her. We are to keep watch and guard ourselves with the wisdom of the Lord and to listen to the instructions of those who raised us to do well in life. May we be reminded of their teachings so that we can flourish in life. We are to meditate and give careful thoughts to the paths of our feet, to be steadfast and to shun evil from our lives. May we not only know wisdom in our lives, but to live her out and glorify our Lord in all things.
